3. In the Communication Settings section, enter the communications parameters that the HMC7000 will use to
attempt communications with your external PLC. For more specific information about each external PLC
supported, please visit our Support Center-Controller Info Sheets at our website:

in the Project Information Window:
5. Simply right-click on the PLC driver to display the Edit Model Settings dialog box:
6. Note that you do not have to assign the external PLCs at the time that a new project is created. You can always
add the drivers later using the Project Information Window by right-clicking the appropriate Com port:
After assigning an external PLC to one of the COM ports on the HMC7000, you can read/write to the internal memory of
the attached PLC. To do this, you must first assign tags to the PLC memory using the tag database:
