Configuration Wiring
To configure the HMC7000 using the MAPware-7000 software, you need a USB configuration cable for your HMC (P/N
7431-0116).
The HMC7043 and HMC7070 models can also be configured with an Ethernet cable. Use a crossover cable (Maple P/N
7431-0104) if connecting directly from the PC. If connecting through a switch or router, use a straight-through cable
(Maple P/N 7431-0103).
Ethernet port
The Ethernet port can be used for configuration and communicating with supported controllers.
USB Client port
This port is used solely for downloading/uploading projects into the HMC7000 unit. The port complies with the USB 2.0
specification, and has a Type B female connector.
USB Host port (not available on the HMC7030 models)
This port is used for data logging and historical alarms when you attach a USB Flash Drive. It is compliant with USB 2.0
specification.
