The machine was shut down and
willnotturnbackonwhenthegreen
circularbuttonispressed.
The user cannot weld a second
pass.
The VR FCAW/GMAW and/or VR
SMAW(optional)device(s)location
doesnotcorrespondwiththeimage
shown in the FMD (Face Mounted
Display)device.
The VRTEX
®
MOBILE does not
startupwhenthegreencircularbut-
tonispressed.
“End Pass” must be activated
beforestartinganewpass.Ifanew
couponisstartedthedatawillonly
be available for the first pass.
Again;“EndPass”mustbeselect-
edbeforeanewpassisstarted
The tolerance set displayed in the
tolerance editor is the one being
used.
Thetolerancesetcanalsoberead
fromthestudentreport.
Thesystemmaystillbeintheshut
downmode.
The joint configuration may be set
upforonepassonly.
The system may be located near
largemetalobjects.
Make sure the correct input power
isbeingappliedtothemachine.
Verify fused power switch is in the
Onposition.
Fusemaybefaulty.
Usethetouchscreentogotopass
number and change which pass
datayouarelookingfor.Notethat
someconfigurationsonlyhaveone
passcapabilities.SeetheLincoln
defaulttolerances.
Gototheinstructormodetochange
tolerances.Gototheloginscreen,
turn the key and select tolerances
toverifytoleranceset.
SeetheOperation section.
Wait 20 seconds, then press and
holdthegreencircularbuttonfor5
secondstostartthemachine.
Checkthetoleranceeditortoverify
the joint configuration allows for
multiplepasswelding.
Movethesystemtoasuitableloca-
tion.SeetheInstallation section.
Be sure to hold the green circular
buttoninforatleast5seconds.
Ifthegreencircularbuttondoesnot
stay on, remove the plug on lower
part of case front. Press and hold
the green circular button and then
pressupthepushbuttoninsidethe
sheetmetal.SeeFigures E.1 and
E.2.
