The motor brake on the NER2/ER2 hoist is not adjustable.

6.4.2

Refer to Section 5.7 and Table 5-7 for Brake Gap/Wear criteria.

6.5

Load Chain

6.5.1 Lubrication and Cleaning

– refer to Section 6.2.

6.5.2 Load Chain Replacement:

1)



The hoist must be properly powered and operational in order to perform the

following procedures.

2)



Be certain that the replacement chain is obtained from Harrington Hoists, Inc.

and is the exact size, grade and construction as the original chain. The new load chain must have
an odd number of links so that both its end links have the same orientation. If the load chain is
being replaced due to damage or wear out, destroy the old chain to prevent its reuse.

3)



When replacing load chain, check for wear on mating parts, i.e. Load Sheave,

Chain Guides and Idle Sheaves, and replace parts if necessary.
