Low Flow Sampling (5 to 500 ml/min Constant Pressure)

Low fl ow sampling requires a Constant Pressure Controller (CPC) and
adjustable fl ow tube holder available as accessories or in the Low Flow
Adapter Kit, Cat. No. 210-500.

When sampling with the CPC accessory and multiple tubes, the
volume displayed on the pump is no longer representative of the
volume of fl ow through the tubes due to the air bypass function of
the CPC.

1. Following calibration (see page 24), replace the representative tube(s) with

a new unexposed tube(s).

Protect sample pump from weather when in use outdoors.

Before use, allow pump to equilibrate after moving it from one
temperature extreme to another.

Use of any device other than the approved battery pack to power the
pump voids the UL Listing for intrinsic safety and any warranty.

For multiple-tube sampling, seal unused holder ports with unopened
tubes.

2. Press [] to RUN the pump. Sample for the time specifi ed in the

method used.

3. To stop sampling, press [] to place the pump in HOLD.

To ensure sample integrity, tubing fi ts tightly onto the pump inlet
fi lter cover. Use care when removing tubing to prevent cracking
or breakage of the inlet fi lter cover.

Use of any device other than the approved battery pack to
power the pump voids the UL Listing for intrinsic safety and any
warranty.

Failure to follow warnings and cautions voids any warranty.

Flow Fault

If the pump is unable to compensate for longer than 15 seconds due to excessive
back pressure, the pump enters fl ow fault mode. During fl ow fault, the pump
goes into HOLD, the fault icon appears on the display during the length of
the fault, and the accumulated run time display is frozen and retained. As
part of the fl ow fault feature, the pump att empts to restart sampling aft er fi ve
minutes in fl ow fault and continues to att empt a restart every fi ve minutes
thereaft er until the restricted fl ow is corrected or the pump has att empted a
maximum of 10 restarts. The maximum number of restart att empts may be
changed using DataTrac 2000 Soft ware.
