1. Assemble the armature per the Maglock
instructions and secure to the Z-Bracket
using the shoulder screw. 77777
2. You will need 2 or 3 spring washers to
secure the armature. Stack them as
shown in the inset figure. The armature
should be tight but when one side is
pushed, it should move and be able to
contact the Z-Bracket.
3. Adjust the Z-Brackets to be square and
lightly secure the 1/4-20 hex head screws
and nuts to keep the two halves of the
Z-Bracket sliding freely. 7
4. With the door fully closed, locate the
Z-Bracket assembly flush with the top of
the door and mark the two hole locations.
Check for interferences and relocate if

5. For Metal Doors: Locate the marked
holes. Center punch and drill two 3/8”
holes through the door. Enlarge the
holes from the outside face to 1/2”. For
Wood Doors: Drill two 1/2” holes through
door.
6. Insert Sex Bolt from the outside door
face.
7. Fasten the Z-Bracket to the door using
two 5/16-18 socket button head screws &
lock washers to the sex bolt with a 1/4”
hex wrench.

2. Place a 1/4” spacer on the Z-
Bracket and then place the MM15
on top of that with the armature
engaged with the MM15. 777
3. Place the angle bracket assembly on
the MM15 Maglock. 7777777777777
4. Locate the angle bracket to the
header. The bottom edge of the MM15
should be aligned with the bottom
edge of the header. Mark position of
angle bracket on header. Remove angle
bracket, MM15 and 1/4” spacer. bbb
5. Relocate the angle bracket on the
header and mark the four hole locations
on the wall. Drill four 3/8” holes and install
four 1/4-20 blind nuts. 7777777
6. Secure the angle bracket to the header.

1. Remove cover from the MM15. 7777777
2. Secure the MM15 Maglock to the
mounting plate with the three cap screws,
feed the wiring through the mounting
plate and angle bracket, or when using
conduit option, through the conduit. 77
3. Connect wires to appropriate switching
device (such as key pad, card reader or
switch) and power supply. 77777777
4. Replace the MM15 Maglock cover by
aligning it with the tapped holes and
pushing it up until the lip snaps into
place. 777
5. Fasten cover with the two #6-32x1/4”
flat head screws furnished with MM15
hardware pack. 777777777777777777

1. Locate the mounting plate to the z holes
in the angle bracket and secure with four
button head screws furnished with MM15
