MOUNTING INFORMATION

Read all instructions before proceeding.

The above lights are designed for use on power driven vessels only under 20 meters (65.6 ft) in length operating on a nominal 12 volt, 24 volt or 32
volt system (see bulb data chart below). In order to comply with ‘72 COLREGS and the U.S. Inland Navigation Rules, the following must adhered
to:

1).

For proper light selection, positioning and configuration, refer to A.B.Y.C. Standard A-16*, the ‘72 COLREGS and the U.S. Inland Navigation
Rules*.

2).

These lights are designed to be mounted on either a vertical or horizontal surface, except the Cat. No. 0108 series which can be mounted on
either a horizontal surface or a vertical 1/2 inch N.P.T. threaded pipe. The vertical mounting surface for Cat. No. 0110 series Masthead Lights,
Cat. No. 0111 series Stern Lights and Cat. No. 0111 M series Towing Lights must be perpendicular to the fore-aft centerline of the boat and
facing in the proper direction. The vertical mounting surface for Cat. No. 0109 series Sidelights must be parallel to the fore-aft centerline of the
boat. (See Diagram #1)

3). Wiring

Instructions

a).

For 0109, 0110, 0111 and 0111M Lights:
1).

Remove 2 screws holding electrical box cover to back of light

2).

Using punch or screwdriver, on a flat surface, knock out 3/8 inch plug on back cover or base of light, install grommet and run wire
to terminals. Make connections, then replace back cover.

3).

Attach supply connections to the light, making sure to wire in accordance with both A.B.Y.C. Standard E-9* and U.S. Coast Guard
Safety Standards for Boat Electrical Systems (33 CFR 183)*.

b).

For 0108, 0108R and 0108G Lights:
1).

Place mounting gasket onto base of light, leading supply wires through center opening in gasket.

2).

Attach supply connections to the pigtail leads, making sure to wire in accordance with both A.B.Y.C. Standard E-9* and U.S. Coast
Guard Safety Standards for Boat Electrical Systems (33 CFR 183)*.

4).

Mounting Instructions

a).

For 0109, 0110, 0111 and 0111M Lights:
1).

Cat. No. 0109 Lights only, remove two lens screws and remove lens.
Cat No. 0110, 0111 and 0111M, remove single screw in top of light, remove top cover and lens.

2).

For Horizontal Mounting: use screwdriver or punch on a flat surface to knock out 3/16 inch hole (marked “A”) inside base of light
which is for fastening screws.

3).

For Vertical Mounting: Cat. No. 0109 Light only - on flat surface, knock out 3/16 inch hole (marked “B”) inside light along side of
bulb. Second mounting hole is on outside flange.
Cat. No. 0110, 0111 and 0111 M lights only - use (2) mounting holes on outside flange.

4).

Mount the light in place and reassemble, noting that the thicker end of the lens is inserted in the base of the light. Care must be
taken to install lights parallel with the fore and aft centerline of the vessel. Cat. No. 0110, 0111 and 0111M lights are marked (C/L)
on the top cover for proper alignment. Cat No. 0109 lights must be installed so that the side attached to the vessel is parallel with
the centerline.

b).

For horizontal surface mounting 0108, 0108R and 0108G:
1).

Using gasket as a template, mark mounting surface for fasteners.

2).

Align mounting gasket such that screw clearance holes are under the base mounting holes and the drain clearance notch is under
the base drain hole.

3).

Place the light base on the mounting surface in the desired location and mount with two #10 screws.

c).

For vertical mounting 0108, 0108R and 0108G on a 1/2 inch N.P.T. threaded pipe:
1).

Disassemble light by unscrewing globe and the two machine screws that retain the base.

2).

Run the supply wire out of the top of the mounting pipe and through the center opening in the light base and gasket.

3).

Screw the light base onto the mounting pipe, and seal the connection with compound or teflon tape.

4).

Attach the supply connections to the leads and reassemble the light (This method prevents twisting the wire inside the pipe when
attaching the light.)
