REMOTE I/O MODULES

The descriptions included in this section give a brief overview of the functions and features of
the remote I/O modules. Modules are available in three forms: 110/120Vac external power,
220/230Vac external power and 24Vdc external power. All modules mount on a ECZ remote
I/O module carrier.


1.3.1 Digital Input Modules

Discrete input modules are available in isolated and non-isolated versions. Isolated versions
provide opto-isolation to 1500VAC. One RDIM block is used to configure a digital input
module in the Application Builder.

1.3.2 Digital Output Modules

Discrete output modules provide eight relay or transistor outputs. One RDOM block is used
to configure a digital output module in the Application Builder.

1.3.3 Digital Input/Output Modules

Combination discrete input/output modules have twelve 24V DC inputs and eight 2A relay
outputs, while a configurable version of the combination module allows a total of eight points
to be individually selected as 24VDC inputs or 24VDC (.5A) transistor outputs. A RDIM and
a RDOM block are used to configure a digital input/output module in the Application Builder.
