3.6 DIGITAL CONNECTIONS
Open Circuit Detection:
The following modules require that a 20 to 30 kOhm resistor be mounted in parallel of each
input captor to get open circuit detection for that channel. With an inductive captor, the
minimal current is 1 mA.
• ICSI 08 D1 - 8 Non-Isolated 24Vdc Inputs
• ICSI 16 D1: 16 Non-Isolated 24Vdc Inputs
• ICSC 08 L1: 8 Configurable 24Vdc Inputs or 24Vdc 500mA Transistor Outputs
• ICSK 20 F1: 12 Non-Isolated 24Vdc Inputs & 8 Isolated Relay Outputs
Initialization:
After being configured and wired:
– the unit initializes itself after power On.
– the error led goes out after initialization.
– the input/output status is displayed on the led's.
Fault Indication:
The led’s on the front face of each unit indicates the type of error. If an error occurs, the red
led is ON. See Section 4, Diagnostics for failure testing.
