Check to see that there are no obstructions in the
path of the gate or that the hinges are not binding.
Problem:
The operator doesn't work smoothly and the
gate jerks as it opens and closes.
Solution:
Check the oil level in the operator.
Make sure the Manual Release mechanism has fully
engaged the hydraulic operation of the operator.
Bleed the air from the hydraulic system by cycling
the gate (opening and then closing) 10 times and
pausing for a couple of minutes between cycles.
Make sure that a flexible gate leaf is not the
problem. If the gate leaf flexes, then stiffen the
gate or use a slower operator.
