Automatically Removing High-Resolution
Files
In the Configurator one can specify for which types of clips the high-resolution video file
should be automatically removed after a certain period of time from the nearline storage.
5.6.3.
Locking and Unlocking Archived Clips
Depending on the settings, Deep Archive Manager can automatically remove the high-
resolution file of particular clips.
Deep Archive Manager allows you to prevent this by locking clips. The high-resolution file
of locked clips aren’t automatically removed.
To lock a clip, click the corresponding Lock for Removal button
. The clip will remain
visible in the Archived tab.
To unlock a clip again, click the Unlock for Removal button
. A message box will
appear asking you to confirm your action. Click Yes to continue or No to cancel the
action.
5.6.4.
Removing Partially Restored High-
Resolution Files
Partially restored high-resolution video files can only be removed in IPDirector. It is not
possible to remove them using Deep Archive Manager.
