-
the firmware has been downloaded completely,
-
a consistency check has been passed successfully and
-
the handset is in idle state.
The download of a single PP with a firmware of 1 MB lasts approximately 90
minutes.
There are some reasons for the handset to bar the download.
• Low
Battery
The battery power is lower than 50% and the PP is not connected to
the docking station or the USB-Interface
• Software
Barred
Download over Air is disabled in local menu of the handset
• Download
Failed
The number of download failures is too large
• Multiple
Systems
A PP can be enrolled on several OpenMobility systems.
The first system to which the handset will be enrolled will automatically
the “master-system”. The PP downloads only from the “master-
system”. A different “master-system” can be chosen inside the local
menu of the handset.
The number of PPs which can be downloaded depends on the available
system resources.

How to configure Download Over Air
The Download over Air feature can be activated or deactivated on the
“System Settings” web page.
The PP firmware is part of each OpenMobility software package which is
delivered by Aastra.
The PP firmware is delevered in the package file aafon6xxd.dnld. This
package file must be put on the same tftp server and path where the OMM-
RFP gets his boot image file (e. g. omm_ffsip.tftp).
