Filtering
This chapter discusses MAC address port filtering.
9.1 Configure a Filtering Rule
Filtering means sifting traffic going through the Switch based on the source MAC address and
VLAN group (ID).
Click Advanced Application > Filtering in the navigation panel to display the screen as
shown next.

Active
Make sure you select this check box to activate your rule. You may temporarily
deactivate a rule without deleting it by deselecting this check box.
Name
Type a descriptive name (up to 32 printable ASCII characters) for this rule. This is for
identification only.
MAC
Type a MAC address in valid MAC address format, that is, six hexadecimal character
pairs. Traffic to and from the specified MAC address is blocked.
VID
Type the VLAN group identification number.
