Audyssey indicator (54, 87)
Flashes during Audyssey MultEQ® Room Correc-
tion and Speaker Setup. Lights up when the “Equal-
izer Settings” is set to “Audyssey” or
Audyssey Dynamic Surround Expansion™ listen-
ing mode is selected.

Dynamic EQ indicator (91):
“Dynamic EQ” lights when “Dynamic EQ” is
enable.

Dynamic Volume indicator (91):
“Vol” lights when “Dynamic Volume” is enable.

Message area
Displays various information.

Audio input indicators
Indicate the type of audio input that’s selected as the
audio source: HDMI, ANALOG, or DIGITAL.

Volume level (60)
Displays the volume level.

MUTING indicator (62)
Flashes while the AV receiver is muted.

DIGITAL OPTICAL IN 1 and 2
These optical digital audio inputs are for connecting
components with optical digital audio outputs, such
as CD and DVD/BD players. They’re assignable,
which means you can assign each one to an input
selector to suit your setup. See “Digital Audio Input
Setup” on page 50.

DIGITAL COAXIAL IN 1, 2, and 3
These coaxial digital audio inputs are for connect-
ing components with coaxial digital audio outputs,
such as CD and DVD/BD players. They’re assign-
able, which means you can assign each one to an
input selector to suit your setup. See “Digital Audio
Input Setup” on page 50.

REMOTE CONTROL

This

(Remote Interactive) jack can be con-

nected to an

jack on another Onkyo AV compo-

nent. The AV receiver’s remote controller can then
be used to control that component. To use

, you

must make an analog audio connection (RCA)
between the AV receiver and the other AV compo-
nent, even if they are connected digitally.

RS232 (TX-NR807)
Terminal for control.

UNIVERSAL PORT
This port is for connecting the component with the
Universal Port connector such as UP-A1 series
Dock.

ETHERNET
This port is for connecting the AV receiver to your
Ethernet network (e.g., router or switch) for playing
music files on a networked computer or media
server, or for listening to Internet radio.
