Introduction
This chapter describes how to start up and use the Status Display,
which keeps you informed of the status of the printer at all times, and
the Control Panel, which you can use to check and change the current
settings of the printer. The Status Display and Control Panel features
are not supported under Windows NT4.0, NT3.51.
Important!
Starting Up the Status Display
The procedure you should use to start up the Status Display depends
on whether you are running Windows 95 or Windows 3.1.
Note
• In order for the Status Display and Control Panel to operate correctly,
the printer must be connected to your computer and turned on.
Otherwise, the Control Panel refuses to start up and the Status Display
shows an error message.
• If you checked “Setup to start Status Display automatically” when you
installed PageWorks 8e Printer Software, the Status Display will start up
automatically each time you start up your computer.
