You can adjust the output of the flash without changing the brightness of the
background.

Select [Flash Exp. Comp.] on the [ A Rec. Mode] menu.

Use the four-way controller ( 45 ) to
select the compensation level.
4 Reduces the brightness.
5 Increases the brightness.

Press the OK button.
The camera is ready to take the picture.
