Listening with Acoustic
Calibration EQ
You can listen to sources using the Acoustic
Calibration Equalization set in Using the Auto
MCACC setup for optimal surround sound on
page 29.

Press to open the sound menu.

Select ‘MCACC EQ’ then press
ENTER.

Switch ‘EQ On’ or ‘EQ Off’ then
press ENTER to confirm.
• The
MCACC indicator lights when Acoustic
Calibration EQ is active.
• On the
EQ Off setting, equalization is set to
off and speaker settings (channel delay
and channel level) remains as it is set.
•
EQ On is selected automatically after the
Auto MCACC setup is completed.
Enhancing dialogue
The Dialogue Enhancement feature is
designed to make the dialogue stand out from
other background sounds in a TV or movie
soundtrack.

Press to open the sound menu.

Select ‘Dialogue’ then press
ENTER.

Select the amount of Dialogue
Enhancement then press ENTER to confirm.
Select between
Off, Mid, Max or Auto.
• When Dialogue is set to
Auto, the amount
of Enhancement is selected automatically
to optimally match the audio signal.
• The
DIALOG indicator lights when
Dialogue Enhancement is active.
Using Midnight and Quiet
listening modes
The Midnight listening feature allows you to
hear effective surround sound of movies at low
volume levels.
The Quiet listening feature reduces excessive
bass or treble in a sound source.

Press to open the sound menu.

Select ‘Tone’ then press ENTER.

Select ‘Midnight’ or ‘Quiet’ then
press ENTER to confirm.
• The
TONE indicator lights.
• To cancel the Midnight or Quiet listening
modes, select
Bass/Treble.
Note
1 Acoustic Calibration EQ is not available when headphones are connected.
