Glossary
4CIF
4 x CIF (Common Intermediate Format). A video
format providing resolution of 704 x 576 pixels.

16CIF
16 x CIF (Common Intermediate Format). A video
format providing resolution of 1408 x 1152 pixels.

ADSL
Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line. Used to
transmit digital data over telephone wires at up to
six megabits per second.
AIS
Alarm Indication Signal. This indicates that there
is a problem upstream.
Analog Line
A telephone line that transmits and receives
analog signals. An analog signal is a true electrical
representation of the original source audio.
