VRTEX TM 360
Weldometer TM
Overview
The Weldometer TM tracks virtual consumables, base material and gas usage. This information can be used to track
materials and cost savings created by the use of virtual welding training. The Weldometer TM tracks material usage
and arc time over a “trip” (since last reset) and over the VR systems lifetime.
Arc Time
keeps track of the amount of time (hours:min:seconds) students have spent with a virtual arc struck with
each process.
Base Metal
tracks how many virtual coupons have been used and their cumulative weight. Note that plate 3/8”
includes groove joints as well as tee joints, while plate 1/4" includes both tee joints and practice plates.
Gas
tracks how much virtual gas was used.
Consumables
tracks the cumulative weight of each type of virtual consumable used. It also displays how many
virtual SMAW electrodes are used.
At the bottom of the screen, the Simulated Welder Time keeps track of how long the unit has been on (time in
hours:minutes:seconds).
