Inserting/Removing Batteries

You must charge a battery before using it for the first time.
1 Check the Card Present icon on
the Back Status LCD panel to be
sure that it is not blinking.
2 Turn the camera off.

IMPORTANT:
If the Card Present icon or the
Card Busy LED inside the
Battery/PC Card door are
blinking, wait until the blinking
stops before continuing. (You
can lose data if you remove the
battery while the card is busy.)
Turn off the camera before
changing batteries, otherwise
the camera can “lock up” and
prevent you from doing
anything. If this happens, turn
off the camera, remove the new
battery, wait 10 seconds, insert
the new battery, then turn on the
camera.
