Error sending an SMS
Call charges are incurred by interrupting a transmis-
sion.
The following error codes may be displayed:
E0: SMS messages cannot be transmitted if the sta-
tion number transmission feature is not enabled.
FD: SMS messages cannot be received if the SMS
centre number is missing or incorrectly stored. En-
sure that the fixed network’s SMS centre number
was correctly stored (see page 55).
If you were unable to receive any SMS messages, you
probably did not activate the calling line identification
(CLIP) feature at your telephone connection. Activation
via the telephone network provider is necessary.
If your Gigaset was unable to receive any SMS mes-
sages, the telephone numbers of the SMS centres are
stored in your telephone’s caller list. Please delete
these telephone numbers in the caller list.

E0 Permanent suppression of the tele-
phone number is activated (CLIR).
FE Error transmitting the SMS
FD Error connecting to the Service Centre

Your Gigaset does not support the transmission
of SMS messages with special contents, e.g.
pictures or ringing tones.
