With your Comfort handset you can send and receive
text messages (SMS messages). SMS messages can
only be received by devices which support this feature
(mobile phones, PCs, other telephones).
Prerequisite:
CLIP
Calling line identification (CLIP) and station number
transmission must be enabled at your fixed network
telephone connection.
Ensure that your telephone network provider enabled
these features for your telephone connection.
**
The SMS messages are stored in your base station.
You can therefore access your SMS messages from
any Gigaset 4000 Comfort handset. You only have ac-
cess to all SMS messages on one handset at a time
(reading, writing, forwarding, etc.).
Writing, storing and sending an SMS
Each SMS may contain no more than 160 characters.
