To remove the CD-ROM drive, do the following:
1. Power-off the server, if it is on.
2. Unplug the server.
3. Remove the cover (see “Removing the side cover” on page 40).
4. Disconnect the cables.
5. Remove the screws from the CD-ROM drive cage.
6. Gently slide the CD-ROM drive toward the front of the server and lift it out.
Floppy disk drive
Before you begin:
• Read “Safety information” on page 105.
• Review the information in “Before you begin” on page 38.
To remove the floppy disk drive, do the following:
1. Power-off the server, if it is on.
2. Unplug the server.
3. Remove the cover (see “Removing the side cover” on page 40).
4. Disconnect the cables.
5. Remove the screws from the floppy disk drive cage.
