Placing a Service Call

If you think the problem is hardware related, contact IBM Service using the appropriate number.
When the call screening process begins, select the Hardware option (option 1), select Place a
Service Request (option 1), Select that you KNOW your machine type (option 1) and enter 2214 in
the voice response unit when prompted. When the agent comes on the line, that individual will pull

may be required to supply the machine type and serial number. You should use the serial number
of the failing component or use the DS4100 (1724-100) if you do not know the specific failing
component.

If you think the problem is software related, then contact IBM Service using the appropriate number.
When the call screening process begins, select Software (option 2) and then select option 3 and tell
the agent that you have a “DR550”.
