White or black line
• The imaging cartridge may be
defective.
Remove the cartridge and check it
for damage. Replace the cartridge
if necessary (page 5-2).
Toner smudges
• The toner may be unevenly dis-
tributed inside the imaging car-
tridge.
Remove the imaging cartridge
and rock it left and right a few
times to distribute remaining
toner.
• The imaging cartridge may be
defective.
Remove the cartridge and check it
for damage. Replace the cartridge
if necessary (page 5-2).
• Smudges on the back of the paper
indicate a dirty transport roller.
