PTT calls
Note: PTT Mode must be set to On (see page 64) to use
PTT features.
You can make a private PTT call or a group PTT call to
other Verizon Wireless® PTT subscribers.
A private PTT call is a one-to-one call to another
Verizon Wireless PTT subscriber that you initiate by
entering the recipient’s ten-digit number or by
selecting an entry in your PTT CONTACT LIST.
A group call is a call to all available members of
the selected group from your PTT CONTACT LIST or
PTT GROUPS list.
You can make two types of PTT calls:
•
Alert call—When you place an alert call, the
PTT call recipient’s phone plays an audible
tone and displays a message indicating that
someone wants to speak to the recipient. The
recipient can accept or decline the call. Alert
calls can’t be sent to groups.
•
Barge call—When you place a barge call, the
recipient’s phone plays an audible tone, and
the call automatically connects.
