55. Connecting the RS232 Serial cable
To run the software, connect the RS232 Serial cable to the computer containing the
software, and to the Smart CAT5 Switch. See page 24.
56. Installing the software
To install the Smart CAT5 Switch Update software:
1. Insert the Marketing & Documentation CD. The CD menu runs automatically.
2. Choose Smart CAT5 Switch Softpack.
3. Either run the Smart CAT5 Switch Update software straight from the CD or
install it on the computer’s hard drive and run it from there.
57. Starting and configuring the Smart CAT5 Update
1. Start the Smart CAT5 Update software. The Smart CAT5 Update window appears.
