When assembling the stand for this drum sander,
it is important that each part of the stand is ori-
ented and attached in a specific way. refer to the
illustration in
figure 6 below to gain a clear under-
standing of the layout for each leg and brace.
Note: The parts illustrated are displayed "upside
down", as they will be during the assembly steps.
to assemble the drum sander:
1. position the top braces upside down on a
protected surface in the form of a rectangle,
then attach the legs to the braces with (16)
M8-1.25 x 12 carriage bolts and M8-1.25 lock
nuts, as shown in
figure 5. hand tighten all
fasteners for now. they will be fully tightened
in
Step 4.
