This chapter explains the handling of paper jams, daily maintenance, and cleaning of the scanner.

"Cleaning the automatic paper feed section."

4.1

Handling Paper Jams

If a page jams while it is being read, remove the page with the following procedure:

1) Remove the page on the paper support.

2) While lifting the cover open lever, pull the automatic paper feed section toward you to open it.

3) Remove the jammed paper.

4) Push the middle part of the automatic paper feed section back to its original position.
