hp toptools for openview nnm
user guide
After changing the debug logging level "HP Toptools Services" must be restarted before the new logging setting will
take effect. If an error occurs, the toptools server bridge appends error messages into a file called ttbrgerr.log
regardless of the registry settings.

HpttBrdgMgr debug info
On NT systems the log files in the table are created depending on the setting of the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\HP Toptools Bridge\
Where:
hpttBrdgDisc
hpttBrdgMgr
hpttLaunchAction
nsaAgentStatus
On HP-UX or Solaris systems the debug level is selected by setting the /etc/hpttBrdgDisc.debug or
/etc/hpttBrdgMgr.debug file equal to the debug level.
If the value is 0, these files are not created. If the value is 1, these files are created. If they exist, they will be
overwritten, rather than appended to.
The OpenView NNM bridge component logs each discovered HP device into a file called
$OV_PATH\log\hpttBrdgDiscData.log. This file can be used to monitor the progress of the bridge discovery.
The OpenView NNM component logs additional information into hpttBrdgDisc.log. The hpttBrdgMgr.log
contains information from the hpttBrdgMgr process. hpttLaunchAction.log contains debug info on interaction
with the browser, tts.log contains a detailed listing of what has been sent from the NNM server to the toptools
server.
