Updating the startup screen
You can customize the startup screen as desired. The new startup image will be aligned in center with 1:1
aspect ratio.
Getting your startup image ready
1. Prepare a 640 x 480 24-bit color image in *.bmp format. The file size should be less than 2 MB.
2. Name the image file so it begins with the model name of your monitor, e.g., XL2746K_xxxx.bmp.
3. Save the startup image to the root directory (instead of a folder) of a USB flash drive. Note that
there should be no firmware file on the same USB flash drive.
4. Connect the USB flash drive to the USB port reserved for firmware update on the rear of the
monitor.
5. Restart the monitor by powering off and on. The image file will be detected after the monitor is
powered on. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
6. You will be prompted to activate Internet cafe mode. If activated, all the monitor settings will be
reset to factory default values every time after switching off-on the monitor. This mode is highly
recommended for cybercafe managers.
7. Unplug the USB flash drive after the progress is complete or when you are instructed to.
