all of the changes you have made while using the Album Info Tool. Pressing the BACK
button will cancel all of the changes.

Why Do Only Some of My Photos Have Captions?

Although you have turned on the captions, some of your photos will not automatically
appear with captions. Your FotoShow

Image Center will only add captions automatically

to files that have custom file names. For example, if your image comes from a digital
camera that assigned the name “dcf1004.jpg” to your image, the FotoShow Image Center
will not display a caption. However, if your file is named “My Birthday.jpg,” “My Birthday”
will automatically appear as a caption. You can always add custom captions to a photo
by using the Photo Info tool on the Edit room toolbar.

What is the “PictIQ” Folder that I Found on My Zip

®

Disk?

The FotoShow

software uses the PictIQ folder to store files necessary for displaying your

photos on a TV. When your FotoShow Image Center starts up it has to individually
prepare each photo for use on a TV. Do not remove the PictIQ folder from your Zip

®

disk

or change its contents in anyway. Modifying the content of the PictIQ folder may effect
the way that your photos are displayed or cause long startup delays as the FotoShow
software rebuilds to contents of the folder.

What is the “Deleted_Albums” Folder that I Found on My Zip

®

Disk?

The FotoShow

software moves any Non-JPEG content of deleted albums to the

Deleted_Albums folder when an album is created. For example, if you accidently delete
an album that contains TIFF images saved from your digital camera, you can retrieve the
images from the Delete_Albums folder with a computer. Any JPEG images in the album
are permanently deleted. Non-JPEG images are saved since they are not visible on the
FotoShow Image Center when it is hooked to a computer.

Why Did My FotoShow

Image Center Copy Duplicate pictures or

Images I Didn’t Take From My Digital Camera?

Some Digital Cameras create an index of all the photos that have been taken. These
cameras may create extra graphics for use with the index. Other cameras will create
miniatures of all of your photos for display on the camera’s LCD. Your FotoShow

Image

Center will copy and display any valid JPEG file, which includes special images for an
index and miniatures of your photos.

of the “Using the FotoShow

Software”
