The uplinks have one fiber‐optic interface with an LC connector. Depending on the XFP
and fiber‐optic cable used, the signal can be driven to a maximum distance of 33 m (108 ft)
to 40 kilometers (24.85 miles).
The device at the other end of the fiber optic connection must be a standards‐compliant
product with a matching IEEE 802.3ae 10‐Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) interface transceiver.
