Requirement:
☐ The inverter must be disconnected (see 4.3.1 "Disconnecting the Inverter", page 19).
Required maintenance material (not included in the scope of delivery):
☐ A suitable water-free, heat-resistant lubricant, e.g. WD40.
1. Check whether seals in the area of surfaces under pressure show any damage.
Tip: the area of surfaces under pressure cannot be distinguished when the door is closed.
If seals are damaged, contact the SMA Service Line.
2. Maintain seals with talcum, Vaseline or wax. This prevents frost damage.
3. If the side panels were removed: check whether seals on the side panels show damage in the
area of surfaces under pressure.
If seals are damaged, contact the SMA Service Line.
4.3.13 Checking Locking Devices, Door Stops, and Hinges
Requirement:
☐ The inverter must be disconnected (see 4.3.1 "Disconnecting the Inverter", page 19).
Required maintenance material (not included in the scope of delivery):
☐ A suitable water-free, heat-resistant lubricant, e.g. WD40.
☐ Non-greasy antifreeze, e.g. PS88.
1. Check whether the latching action is smooth. Open and shut the doors several times in the
process.
If the doors do not latch easily, apply lubricant to all moving parts of the latch.
2. Check whether the doors stay closed.
If the doors do not stay closed, apply lubricant to the door stops.
3. Check whether the door hinges move easily.
If the door hinges do not move easily, apply lubricant.
4. Lubricate all moving latch elements and movement points.
5. If the inverter is located in a region where temperatures fall below freezing, protect the profile
cylinder of the door lock and the key switch from icing over with non-greasy antifreeze.
