• Check whether the surge arrester's ready indicator is red.
If the surge arrester's ready indicator is red, replace the surge arrester.
– Remove the cable. Mark the cable in the process. It must be connected to the same terminal
again later.
– Depress the lever and lift the surge arrester
upward out of the top-hat rail.
– Insert the new surge arrester into the top-hat rail
from above and press it against the top-hat rail.
– Connect the cable to the terminal from which you removed it before.
