4. Configuration
Chapter 4 is a pointer to the UniConfig User’s Guide.
Summary
Before being placed into service, the NV8288 and the NV8288-Plus routers must be configured for
your particular routing needs, router control system, and settings. Configuration includes initializ-
ing ports so that the router and UniConfig can communicate, setting up partitions, switch point set-
tings, and testing switching configurations. Configuration tasks are performed using the UniConfig
application, which resides on a PC. For detailed information on using UniConfig, see the UniCon-
fig User’s Guide.
