Overview
H3C iMC Branch Intelligent Management System (iMC BIMS) allows remote management of Customer
Premises Equipment (CPE) through Technical Report 069 (TR-069).
iMC BIMS runs on Windows or Linux. It stores and manages data through Microsoft SQL Server or
Oracle database. To ensure normal operation of iMC BIMS, properly install the operating system,
database, and BIMS software. You do not need to install specific iMC BIMS client software. To access the
iMC BIMS system on a Windows operating system, use IE 6.0 SP1 or Firefox 3.0, or their higher versions.
To access the iMC BIMS system on a Linux operating system, use Firefox 3.0 or higher.
iMC BIMS comprises the following components:
• Management platform: Manages devices in a network;
• Auto-configuration servers: Deploys auto-configuration servers in a distributed way, increasing the
number and enhancing the system performance of the devices managed by iMC BIMS.
Auto-configuration servers are optional. You can deploy no or several auto-configuration servers as
needed.
NOTE:
iMC BIMS provides an embedded SQL Server 2008 R2 Express database. For how to install the database,
