Removing iMC BIMS
To remove iMC BIMS, first remove it from the slave servers, and then from the master server. Removing
iMC BIMS from Windows is similar to that from Linux. The following describes how to remove iMC BIMS
from a Windows Server 2003-based machine.
Removing an iMC BIMS component
Step1
Select Start > All Programs > H3C iMC BIMS > H3C Deployment Monitoring Agent.
Step2
In the window displayed, click Stop iMC BIMS on the Monitor tab to stop all iMC BIMS processes.
Step3
On the Deploy tab, right-click the component you want to remove, and then select Undeploy the
Component from the shortcut menu. A dialog box appears, indicating that the component was
successfully undeployed. Then click OK.
Step4
On the Deploy tab, right-click the component that is removed in the previous step, and then select
Remove this Component from the shortcut menu. A dialog box appears, indicating that the component
was successfully removed. Then click OK.
Removing iMC BIMS from the slave servers
Step1
Select Start > All Programs > H3C iMC BIMS > H3C Deployment Monitoring Agent.
Step2
In the window displayed, click Stop iMC BIMS in the Monitor tab to stop all iMC BIMS processes.
Step3
Select Start > All Programs > H3C iMC BIMS > Uninstall H3C iMC BIMS. A window appears to guide
you through the rest of the process.
Step4
Click Next.
Step5
Click Finish when the Uninstallation Completed dialog box appears.
Removing iMC BIMS from the master server
Remove iMC BIMS from the master server after removing it from the slave servers.
Step1
Click Stop iMC BIMS on the Monitor tab in the Intelligent Deployment Monitoring Agent window to stop
all iMC BIMS processes.
Step2
Select Start > All Programs > H3C iMC BIMS > Uninstall H3C iMC BIMS. A window appears to guide
you through the rest of the process.
Step3
Click Next.
Step4
Click Finish when the Uninstallation Complete dialog box appears.
NOTE:
•
If you have re-installed an SQL server database after you uninstalled iMC BIMS, when you reinstall iMC
BIMS, manually delete folder imcdata that is created on the master/slave server upon installation of
iMC BIMS.
•
If you fail to install or uninstall iMC BIMS, manually delete the iMC BIMS installation directory and folder
iMC-Reserved in the Windows installation directory or folder /etc/iMC-Reserved in the Linux system;
otherwise, iMC BIMS cannot be reinstalled.
