NOTE:

If the iMC intelligent deployment monitoring agent has been installed on the slave servers, uninstall it
before deploying the auto-configuration server.

The following example assumes that the IP address of the master server is 192.168.4.44 and the HTTP
port is 8080.

The username and password of the super user for the system are both admin.

To use Firefox to access iMC BIMS on Linux, install JRE 6.0 or JDK first. For the detailed operation
procedure, see “

The following describes how to deploy the auto-configuration server.
First, install the intelligent deployment monitoring agent on the slave servers.

Install Deployment Monitoring Agent

Start the remote installation wizard

iMC BIMS provides two approaches to start the remote installation wizard: through the Web browser
and through the iMC BIMS installation DVD.

Start the remote installation wizard through the Web browser

CAUTION:

On Linux, you cannot start the remote installation wizard of the intelligent deployment monitoring agent
by using the Firefox browser.

First, on the slave servers, open the Web browser and enter http://192.168.4.44:8080/imc in the

address bar. The iMC BIMS login page appears. Type the username and password, and then click Login.

The Home tab appears.
Select the System tab to enter the System Management page. On this page, click Component Deploy.

On the Installed Components page, click Start deploy. A dialog box appears, as shown in

Figure 20

.

Click OK. The Downloading application dialog box appears, as shown in

Figure 21

, indicating that Java

file (jre.exe) is being downloaded.

NOTE:

If JRE 6.0 has been installed on the slave servers, the system starts the remote installation wizard when you
click OK.
