Software maintenance

NOTE:

This chapter uses an EWPX1WCMB0 as an example to display the output information. If the output is
different on an EWPX1WCMB0 and EWPX1WCMD0, the chapter will describe it separately.

For how to upgrade the applications through BootWare, see the chapter “Software maintenance
through the BootWare menu.”

The following approaches are available for upgrading application files:

Upgrading application files through the web interface

Uploading application files at the CLI

Upgrading applications through the web interface

The access controller supports the web management function. You can use the web interface to manage

and maintain your access controller.

Setting up a web configuration environment

1.

Set up a web configuration environment, as shown in

Figure 41

.

You can set up a web configuration environment in one of the following methods:

Connect the Ethernet interface on the switch interface board of the access controller to the PC, and
make sure that the PC and the access controller can reach each other.

Connect the management Ethernet interface on the access controller to the PC, and make sure that
the PC and the access controller can reach each other.

The first method is used in the example. The second method is simple. You only need to configure an IP

address for the management Ethernet interface, and make sure the PC and the management Ethernet

interface can reach each other.
