Mounting the access controller chassis
Rack-mounting the access controller
The WX6103 can be installed in an N68 cabinet of H3C or a standard 19-inch cabinet based on your
actual requirement. The procedures for installing the WX6103 in these two types of cabinets are similar.
The following describes how to install the WX6103 in an N68 cabinet.
The N68 cabinet was shipped to your order with the mounting position for the WX6103 made ready and
all the accessories outside the access controller chassis installed, except for the switch interface board
cables. For how to install the N68 cabinet, see the N68 Cabinet Installation and Remodel Introduction.

Follow these steps to mount the access controller in an N68 cabinet:
Step1
Confirm the following preparations before starting installation:
•
The cabinet is sturdy and securely grounded and there is no debris inside or around the cabinet.
•
There is sufficient clearance around the rack for heat dissipation and installation.
•
Move the access controller to the front of the cabinet.
•
If you have ordered an air filter, install the air filter before mounting the access controller chassis to
the cabinet.
Step2
Fix the guide rails at the access controller mounting position in the N68 cabinet. Two types of guide rails
are available for the N68 cabinet, of which the small-sized guide rails are suitable for the WX6103.
Step3
Attach the supplied cable management bracket and mounting brackets to the access controller chassis.
Step4
Put the access controller on the guide rails and adjust its position.
Step5
Secure the mounting brackets to the mounting posts of the cabinet with screws to fix the access controller.
