Connect the other end of the network cable to an RJ-45 port of the peer device.
Connecting optical fibers
Fiber connectors are indispensable passive components in optical fiber communication systems. Fiber
connectors make removable optical connections possible. This facilitates the testing and maintenance of
the optical system and enhances the system flexibility. Among diversified fiber connectors, the WX6103
access controller presently supports only LC type fiber connectors.

NOTE:

Before connecting a fiber to your access controller, make sure that the fiber connector type agrees with
the optical transceiver module.

Before connecting a fiber, make sure that the optical power does not exceed the upper limit of the optical
transceiver module’s receive power to prevent damage to the optical module.
Follow these steps to connect a pair of optical fibers:
Step1
Remove the protective cap from the optical interface to be connected, as shown in

Align the end of the optical module without a handle with the SFP interface, making sure that the optical
transceiver module is not upside down, and insert the optical transceiver module into the SFP interface,
