Introduction
The Hoefer ® SE300 miniVE vertical electropho-
resis system performs vertical gel electrophoresis
on mini-format gels. The basic unit includes two
electrophoresis modules. Each module holds one
gel sandwich, 10 cm wide and up to 10.5 cm
long. One gel can be cast in place on each elec-
trophoresis module.
A wide range of accessories, ordered separately
(see page 27), lends the miniVE a high degree of
versatility. These include:
• a large selection of combs and spacers
• a blot module, to convert the miniVE into a mini
blotting unit. (See page 18 for instructions.)
Note: Minimum power supply
ratings: 50 mA, 250 V constant
current or constant voltage.
