9.3 Record captured images as video
Before recording captured images as a video, you must first configure the recording
options on the Epiphan Capture Tool.
1. Select Options from the Tools menu.
2. Select the Recording tab.
3. Select the arrow next to Record as field. A dropdown menu appears.
4. Select Video. Configure other options as required.
5. Click Apply.

To capture video and audio from an HDMI source
DVI2USB 3.0 supports audio recording when the following requirements are met:
DVI2USB 3.0 is connected to the USB 3.0 port;
HDMI source is connected to DVI2USB 3.0;
Updated EDID, refer to the steps below; and
Software driver release 3.28.x or newer, refer to the steps below.
Note: Audio from a built-in microphone can be captured and recorded when DVI2USB
3.0 is connected to either a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port.
Download the latest software and EDID
1. Go to
drivers and capture software that will run on the video capture workstation.
2. Download custom EDID files for DVI2USB 3.0 frame grabber from the frame
grabber product
page on the Epiphan web site. Jot down the location where the
file is saved, you will need this later in the procedure.
3. Launch the capture software by clicking on the desktop icon.
4. Select Upload EDID to device from the Tools menu. A browser window opens.
5. Browse to the location where the custom EDID file was saved and select the file.
6. Choose open. The EDID is uploaded. An information dialog box appears.
7. Click OK. The browser window closes.
Configure audio input on the video capture workstation
8. From the Windows toolbar, right-click on the volume icon. A dropdown menu
appears.
