7. Slide the verifier onto the mounting arm as shown. The flat edge of the shaft faces

the set screw. Tighten the set screw.

8. Use the knob to adjust the angle of the verifier's beam. For more details, refer to the

SV Series Operator’s Guide provided with the verifier.

9. Connect the verifier to the printer's serial port. See "Connecting the Verifier" for

more information.

10. Turn on the verifier.
11. Turn on the printer. The printer sends initialization commands to the verifier.

If the verifier loses power or is turned off and back on, press Feed and ESC at
the same time on the printer to resend the initialization commands to the verifier.
