The Monarch® 9496™ Battery Charger/AC Adapter
charges the 14.8V lithium-Ion battery in your Monarch
9493™ printer and provides AC power to the printer.
You must charge a battery before using it for the first
time.
WARNINGS
♦ Use only the 9496 charger/adapter designed for
Lithium-Ion batteries when charging. The battery
may explode if plugged into a different charger.
♦ Do not charge any other batteries with this
charger.
♦ Do not throw the battery in the trash. Recycle
according to your local regulations.
♦ Do not disassemble, short-circuit, heat above
122°F (50°C), or incinerate the battery. It may
explode.
♦ Follow the operating and storage limit
specifications listed at the end of these
instructions. Otherwise, the battery may
permanently lose its charge capacity.
♦ Unplug the charger and remove the battery from
the printer if storing for a week or more.
P r o v i d i n g A C P o w e r
The battery must be installed in the printer to use the
AC power adapter. The AC adapter maintains the
battery’s current charge capacity while the printer is in
use. Turn off the printer to fully charge the battery.
