Printing jobs
All input fields are displayed so data can be entered. Next, the print quantity
is requested. As soon as the print quantity is confirmed (online button), the
job prints. All information about the job is displayed in the "Print control"
console. The input fields are displayed again, with the previous entries as
default. Alternating with the first input field, the text “Start next job” is
diplayed.

If you do not want to start a new print job, set the parameter
SYSTEM
PARAMETERS > Single job mode
to deactivated.

Press Esc to return to the file selection.

To make the print quantity endless, enter a single asterisk (*) as the
quantity. Then, you must cancel the job to stop printing.
Automatic file processing
If the file DEFAULT.FOR (All letters lower case or all upper case; Default.for
does not work) exists on CF card in the \FORMATS folder, this file starts
automatically when the printer is turned on. If the file AUTOSTRT.FOR also
exists (in the root directory, not case-sensitive), it starts first.
Using an external keyboard
With an external keyboard connected, the printer can be operated without
using the operator panel or buttons. Use the keyboard function keys F5-F8
instead.
Compatibility: Many of the AT-compatible keyboards with PS/2 connections
can be used. Most keyboards belong to this category.
The parameter
SYSTEM PARAMETERS > Keyboard
allows you to select the
keyboard layout that matches your keyboard.
D
Default.for
D stands for the typed-in character
Default.for is the first file with a D as the first
letter.
