Input Black Pedestal

Note:

For best video quality, the Input Black Pedestal must be set correctly. For Composite and

SVideo sources, 7.5 IRE is generally correct. Many component sources use 0 IRE. Check

the manual of the source device to be sure which setting is correct. If unsure, use 0 IRE.

This command specifies if there is an input black pedestal. The command format is:

Input Black Enhance

This command expands the lowest 2% of the input range (0 to 2 IRE) slightly. This can
help to make black backgrounds appear darker verses the 4 IRE level used in some
PLUGE patterns. The command format is:

Pass-through Sync Processing

Select the pass-through sync processing mode. If processing is enabled, pass-through
sync signal polarity is processed to match internally generated sync levels. In this case,
the pass-through sync type must match the internally generated sync type. If pass-through
sync buffering is selected, the sync signals are simply buffered.

Copy Input Settings

Copy the input setup (contrast, etc.) from the active memory, to the selected memory, or
memories. Since the parameters for the first input calibrated will likely be closer to
optimal than the factory defaults, this command can speed up the calibration process.
