FACING
1. Combustible material must be installed flush with the fireplace. It may not project in front of
or on the fireplace. This means that the steel front façade of the fireplace must not be
overlapped with the combustible facing material. Figure 14 shows the proper installation of
combustible material with reference to the fireplace front façade.
2. Non-combustible materials such as brick, stone or ceramic tile may project in front of and
onto the steel front façade of the Inglenook Fireplace. Figure 15 shows the proper installation
of non-combustible material with reference to overlapping the fireplace front façade.
MANTEL
The mantel must be installed at least 71 inches above the base of the fireplace. Figure 14 shows the
proper location of the mantel with respect to the base of the fireplace.
