This provides maximum visibility and allows closely spaced
stitches to feed evenly (Fig. 31 ).

being sewn or width of buttonhole desired (number 5 for the
widest buttonhole). .
4 . Set stitch length control (E, Fig. 24) as close to 0 as possible
without stopping the feeding action.
5. Set stretch stitch control at manual position.
